CANTOR TO PERFORM AT ALBANY SYNAGOGUE.(Religion)

Cantor Hazzan Alberto Mizrahi, formerly the cantor at Temple Israelfrom 1970 to 1975, will return to the Capital District for an evening of cantorial, folk and Yiddish music.

the concert, which also will feature Cantor Yaakov Motzen of the Adath Israel Synagogue in Montreal, will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Temple Israel.

"The Jews have been in exile for thousands of years and through our wanderings we have picked up nuances and cultures of other people. Our music reflects this," Mizrahi said in a recent phone interview from his Chicago home.
