NSW: Catt inquiry told government in dispute over funding
SYDNEY, March 2 AAP - Two branches of the NSW government were in dispute over whichshould fund Roseanne Catt's appeal into her conviction for attempted murder, a judicialinquiry was told today.
Ms Catt, who was NSW's longest serving female prisoner, was released on bail on August6, 2001, after serving a decade of a 12-year sentence for the attempted murder of herex-husband.
Her release came after the Attorney-General ordered an inquiry into allegations shewas framed, which opened today before Acting Judge Thomas Davidson.
